Autumn part 2

Gosh it's been a while since I posted hasn't it.  I've been busy with my other blog born again creations and this one has accidentally become the poor cousin.  Nevertheless, here we are at last.

We've just had almost 3 weeks of school holidays and the weather was beautiful for most of it. The kids spent hours and hours in the backyard and we had many wonderful 3pm autumn walks.

Apart from enjoying the sunshine and the autumn colour we've been waiting for news of placements for J's work.  We finally heard last week and although there are no locations on offer in the mountains or in West Sydney, there are two within a 30 - 40 minute drive. It's not the best case scenario, but a 30 min commute in a city as big as Sydney is pretty good really so we're happy. The employment documents are completed and sent away so now we feel like the whole thing is out of our hands and what will be will be.  We should know the final details in around a month, hopefully sooner.  After all of the dramas of the last 12 months we're definitely not getting our hopes up but it does look as though things are finally heading in the right direction.

With the thought of being able to settle down comes the prospect of moving to a bigger house - hurray!! This house was always going to be a short term deal for me - there's no dishwasher for a start.  We only have 2 small bedrooms which means the kids are sharing. There's only one cupboard in the whole house! I will miss my enormous garden though and being on the same street as some of our friends.

I'll be back with some more news in a fortnight or two. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
